At it’s December 2014 meeting the Village by the Sea Homeowner’s Association Board of Directors adopted a Maintenance Matrix which delineates responsibility between the homeowners and the Association for various repair, replacement, and maintenance items. This document was prepared by the Association legal counsel in accordance with the CC&Rs. This document is being sent to each homeowner to be retained with your other HOA documents. A copy is also posted in the password protected HOA section of this website.

The installation of the new vinyl perimeter fencing has been completed. Removal of 500 feet of old fence and the installation of the new fence was accomplished in four days.

The mosaic tile artwork for the Southeast and Northwest VBS monuments has been installed. Glass artist Buddy Smith did a great job many positive comments have been received. These are original art pieces and do differ slightly from one another. When you get a chance take a look. These are great additions to our community.

The VBS Board of Directors has chosen Vista stained glass and mosaic tile artist Buddy Smith to design and produce art work for the VBS monument restoration. The design below is a rough conceptual rendering. Installation is expected to be completed by the end of June.

After some frustrating delay due to contractor problems the walkway lighting replacement project was finally completed this week. Power usage per fixture has been reduced to 18 watts from 75 watts. This along with better longevity of bulbs should save the Association over $2000 per year!
